- Integration with InDesign Creative Cloud - PDF2ID has been enhanced to operate seamlessly with InDesign CC (v9.0) converting PDF to InDesign CC files.
- Native 64-bit Technology - PDF2ID v4.0 is now a native 64-bit plug-in, offering performance benefits on both 64-bit Mac and Windows platforms. In particular, conversions are now 15-20% faster than previous versions of PDF2ID.
- Paragraph Rules - Paragraph rule properties are recognized and applied to the corresponding paragraphs in the resulting InDesign file; enhancing high-level property recovery.

The aim of PDF2ID is to keep the original layout and style of the source XPS and PDF document and to transmit it to the target document. If necessary, PDF2ID rearranges independent graphic elements, creates tables, extracts images, restores annotations and more.
Another noteworthy features is the ability to extract or convert data from a series of pages in the XPS or PDF file. The entire document can be converted to a predefined InDesign format, or you can extract text or images.
Using the PDF2ID plug-in, you won't need to buy any other 3rd party external (desktop) utilities. The fact that it's integrated into InDesign makes it much more accessible.
